Biel (BE) is the district capital of the canton of Bern in Switzerland and has about 48 500 inhabitants.
The city is famous for its watches and precision tool products. Mechanical and electronic industries are in Biel to the important industrial sectors.
The city has retained its medieval feel. Noteworthy are three towers in the town, flamboyant, the guild house of the forest people and the late-Gothic building stuff.
